So, you've chosen a photographer, now what? Here are some of the things to cover in that first meeting.

Variety: Speak up about what you want – specific poses, backgrounds, etc.- and consider providing samples of images you like and dislike. But, don't forget to listen too. This is what they do for a living; they know what works and what doesn't.

Time: Make sure you know how much time will need to be set aside for formal wedding day photography and plan accordingly. You only have one wedding day.

Makeup: Some makeup can show up shiny in photographs – especially under the Arizona sun – so you may want to consult with your photographer about cosmetic dos and don'ts.

Format: Whether you want them printed, on a disc or in a photo book, discuss how you wish to receive and store your images so they withstand the test of time.
